About Karen and Stephen

Karen teaches Geography at North Hennepin Community College in Brooklyn Park, Minnesota. Her interests span from education to tropical rainforest preservation to writing to peace studies and activism to her children and grandchildren. She travels to Peru as much as possible teaching English and doing research. She serves on the Coordinating Council, the governing board, at Lake Harriet Spiritual Community in Minnesota. She facilitates a Drumming Circle and women's group, Succulent Wild Women.

While Stephen may be on the shamanic path, he also enjoys art. In his free time, he loves to draw, write and work with various theater projects. Most of the summers he spends with his mother in the jungles of the Peruvian Rainforest. He also loves to spend time talking to and healing nature, animals, plants and the Earth.
