Soul Retrieval 101

Soul Retrieval

Soul retrieval is the ancient shamanic art of aiding the soul or spirit of an individual that may have fragmented due to trauma, illness or abuse.

Modern psychology calls this disassociation. When trauma occurs we must find a way to get through it. This coping mechanism is called soul loss.

Soul loss is normal. It is our soul/spirit’s way of protecting us and allowing us to survive trauma.

Symptoms of soul loss include: chronic illness, depression, feelings of being unable to “get it together” and we often hear people say “I haven’t felt the same since….”.

Soul loss occurs due to accidents, war, domestic abuse, child abuse, sexual abuse, operations, falls, broken relationships and more...

How Does a Soul Retrieval Work?

A shaman will use a technique called journeying. This will allow the shaman to consult her spirit guides who will then do the work. The shaman acts as the “hollow bone” or the tool for the soul retrieval.

The shaman will search the spirit world for the lost soul parts and return them to their source.

You will experience rattling, drumming and a gentle blowing of the returned soul parts into your chest and the crown of your head.

The shaman will give you direction on celebrating and integrating the return of the complete you!

This is profound spirit work that has been practiced for over 40,000 years!
